THE FIRST GEEK STREET CARNIVAL OF THE CITY OF SÃO PAULO

CCXP | 2019 - CREATIVE CONCEPT, ART DIRECTION - CLIENT: Omelete

Omelete has been Brazil's major pop culture platform on the internet over more than 19 years.

In 2020 we had this crazy, crazy idea: to bring to life the first real life experience for Omelete fans: a street Carnival Bloco - a parade with trucks, live music, cosplayers, activations, and invited artists running the streets of São Paulo, for free.

When we created the new positioning for the holding Omelete Company in 2017 (in which Omelete is part of it) it had a very clear purpose, which helped define the strategy as a company for the coming years:

1. To challenge the pop culture and entertainment market global status quo.
2. To believe that it's possible to transform people's lives through entertainment.

The Raiders of the Lost Bloco is one of the best examples of this purpose:

Carnival is the biggest festival in the Brazilian culture. We created an option for the geek audience to enjoy the party too. Providing an environment for everyone to feel at ease where fans, idols, cosplayers, geeks and non-geeks of all ages could come together to celebrate their passions.
